According to historical records, Duyen Yen village was established by An Sinh Vương Tran Lieu in 13th century. Under Nguyen dynasty, it was presented four golden words called “Thien tuc kha phong”, which literally means the village having rich culture, by King Tu Duc. Mr.Tran Tu Dinh, who is the resident of this village and also the mandarin under Nguyen dynasty, was sent to Malaysia to purchase 2 first steamships for Vietnam Marines (Dai Nam thuc luc, volume 22, page 114).
Duyen Yen village was the hometown of Mr. Tran Dinh Hoan, Former member of Politburo, Former chairman of Central Organizing Commission. The village was honored to receive General Secretary Le Kha Phieu.
