Phoenix Temple Festival recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

Phuong Hoang Temple Festival, also known as Cuc Hoa Temple Festival, is a long-standing traditional festival of the people of Phu Oanh village, Tien Tien commune, Hung Yen province. The festival is held from the 1st to the 5th of the 3rd lunar month every year to commemorate the merits of Mrs. Cuc Hoa - the wife of "Two-country champion" Tong Tran.
This is considered one of the major festivals in the province, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over the country to participate. Currently, the festival still preserves many traditional rituals such as: incense offering ceremony, palanquin procession and unique folk games...
According to the decision, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee at all levels where there are cultural heritages included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages, within the scope of their duties and powers, to carry out state management of intangible cultural heritages according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
Thus, up to now, Hung Yen province has 29 national intangible cultural heritages.
